A fluid control valve (10) which has a deformable valve member (12) which has a first portion (14A) with a fluid passageway (18) therethrough, a second portion (14B) which serves to add resiliency to the valve and, on the valve base portion (16) of the valve an air inlet channel (56). The fluid passageway (18) is closed by a pressure-exerting member (34). Initial actuation of the valve by pressure on an actuator assembly (32) compresses a spring (46) which moves the pressure-exerting member (34) away from the deformable valve member (10), thus allowing the fluid passageway (18) to open. In a second embodiment of the invention the fluid, passageway deformable valve member remains open until …

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 17, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 17, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 17, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
