Abstract From the Canadian patent

Frankfurt, 22.05.1992, PAT/bin-sei Hoe 92/Y007 Hoechst Aktienqesellschaft, 6230 Frankfurt am Main 80 Abstract, The present invention relates to a process for the elimination of metal carbonyl compounds from gases. Metal carbonyl compounds serve as catalysts in a series of industrial processes, for example in carbonylations. In this case, waste gases are frequently produced which in, addition to gaseous starting materials also contain the, metal carbonyls used as the catalyst and secondary products and decomposition products thereof. The gases are reacted with an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution. During this the metal passes into the aqueous solution as a water-soluble compound.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed May 20, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 20, 2013.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 20, 2015.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
