Abstract From the Canadian patent

A resin reinforced fibre product such as glass fibre impregnated with a thermosetting resin is treated to recover fibre by initially shredding (12) the waste, pulverising (24) the shredded waste and sieving (26, 34, 42) the pulverized waste to separate the free fibres. The remaining waste is milled (50) to produce a fine powder suitable as a filler. The pulverizing is completed without classification and a portion of the pulverized product above a nominal cut size recampaigned. Free fibres are separated by an airlift (32, 40, 44) during the sieving process.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed September 18, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended September 18, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 18, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
