The invention relates to a process for recovery of a carboxylate ester reaction product from a reaction mixture further comprising an azeotrope-forming alcohol precursor and further impurities, by fractionating the reaction mixture into a carboxylate ester product-containing stream and a first azeotrope stream; adding sufficiently additional azeotrope-forming alcohol precursor to the first azeotrope stream for providing a total concentration of the alcohol in excess of its azeotrope concentration; and fractionating the alcohol-enriched stream into a second azeotrope stream for recycle to a reaction step and a first residu stream for disposal.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 18, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 18, 2013.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 18, 2015.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
