A method of measuring the forming process of a fibre web by ultrasonic measuring. In the method, the thickness of the fibre web is determined by measuring variation in the thickness of the fibre web at one measuring point at a time and by counting the number of pulses obtained for each thickness value during a measuring period, whereafter a curve (T) describing the turbulence profile is formed of the measured values as an envelope of the number (n) of occurrence of each thickness value (h).

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 4, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 4, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 4, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
