The invention provides a device for the collection of domestic refuse and similar materials comprising a number of con-, tainers (17) which are fitted in layers above one another and in which the containers in each layer are accommodated in a support (10, 11) which can be moved up and down. The containers are in this case formed in such a way that in the low position of tbe support the containers of a top layer project into the containers of the layer lying below. This means that the containers can be filled easily by hand while they are in the device.

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 11, 1991 and granted June 1, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 11, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 11, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
