For correcting measured spectral data of n samples for data due to the measurement process itself, e.g. due to spectral baseline variations and/or water vapor and carbon dioxide present in the atmosphere of the spectrometer used to make the spectral measurements, the spectral data being quantified at f discrete frequencies to produce a matrix X (of dimension f by n) of calibration data; matrix X is orthogonalized with respect to a correction matrix U m of dimension f by m comprising m quantified correction spectra, at the discrete frequencies f which simulate data arising , from the measurement process itself. The correction method is preferably included in a method of estimating …

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 9, 1991 and granted April 24, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 9, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 9, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
