Treatment of coffee oil", A coffee oil intended to be contacted either with a frost consisting of carbon dioxide, water and coffee aromas or with the residual aqueous phase charged with aromas obtained after sublimation of the carbon dioxide present in the frost is filtered beforehand, the temperature of the oil being below 30°C during the filtration step. By virtue of this filtration step, the compounds responsible for the stability of the emulsion formed by the oil and the aqueous phase present in the frost are eliminated. An emulsion which decants easily is obtained in this way.

Why it's free to use
- Filed March 9, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended March 9, 2013.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 9, 2015.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
