For the selective desulphurization of gases the invention makes use a , physically acting scrubbing agent whose basic structure is a heterocycle with five or more ring atoms which include two heteroatoms, one of which is nitrogen and the other oxygen or nitrogen, the hetero-atoms being in one of the positions from 1,2 to 1,n/2 when the ring has an even number of atoms and in one of the positions from 1,2 to 1,(n-1)/2 when the ring has an odd number of atoms. Why it's free to use
- Filed August 26, 1991 and granted June 24, 2003. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended August 26, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 26, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
