Human lysozyme (HLZ) a naturally occurring, relatively short single chain polypeptide, is prepared by growing methylotrophic yeast transformants containing in their genome at least one copy of a first expression cassette comprising a DNA sequence operably encoding HLZ, in operational association with a DNA sequence encoding the S. cerevisiae alpha mating factor pre-pro secretion signal sequence (including the proteolytic processing site: lys-arg) and optionally further including a second expression cassette comprising a DNA sequence operably encoding HLZ in operational, association with a DNA sequence encoding the native human lysozyme secretion signal sequence, wherein both the coding …

Why it's free to use
- Filed September 4, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended September 4, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 4, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
