Abstract From the Canadian patent

A radio transceiver (100) is coupled to a source of a reference waveform (13) and includes transmit mode receive modes. The transceiver (100) comprises a first down mixer (16) a first low pass filter (20) coupled to the first down mixer and a first, selective coupling switch (S1). The first down mixer (16) is coupled to receive an input signal having an input frequency for mixing, the input signal with the reference waveform to produce a first signal. The first signal has a frequency substantially lower than the input frequency. The first low pass filter (20) is coupled to the first down mixer (16) for producing a filtered first signal. The first selective coupling switch (S1) couples the …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed August 13, 1991 and granted September 16, 1997. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended August 13, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 13, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
