This invention relates generally to methods and apparatus for pattern classification, and in particular, to, pattern classification methods and apparatus which distribute the classification criteria across an artificial neural network. The classification criteria for a pattern class are stored distributively in the neural network in two aspects. First they manifest themselves as one or more (quantum) levels of templates, each of which represents a fuzzily unique perspective of the pattern class. Why it's free to use
- Filed May 12, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 12, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 12, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
