A dispensing closure is provided for a container and includes a base for being mounted to the container over the container opening. An actuator is mounted on the base and is tiltable between a closed position and an open position. A ring is mounted on the base for rotation relative to the base and actuator. The ring and base together cooperatively define a cam drive means for effecting the tilting of the actuator.

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 30, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 30, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 30, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
