Abstract From the Canadian patent

Seal means and pressure connection means are provided for pressure carrying coupling elements. Conical surfaces are arranged on each of a first and second coupling member, the cone angle of each surface being slightly different. When assembled, the conical surfaces of different angles partially contact one another to form a material contact seal. The pressure connection means is particularly suited for use in a high pressure fluid filtration system.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 21, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 21, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 21, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
