Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the disclosure: Diallylammonium compounds, processes for their preparation and their use, Ionic monomeric diallylammonium compounds having a targeted combination of diallylammonium cations with selected anions have particularly high and constant charge control properties and very good heat stabilities and dispersibilities. The compounds according to the invention are outstandingly suitable for use as colorless charge control agents in toners and developers for electrophotographic recording processes and for use as charge-improving agents in powders and paints for surface coating in particular in, triboelectrically or electrokinetically sprayed powder paints.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 18, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 18, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 18, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
