A catalytic cracking catalyst and process for converting a hydrocarbon feedstock at elevated temperature in the substantial absence of hydrogen, into lower average molecular weight lower boiling, hydrocarbons useful as transportation fuels. The catalyst is a composite of a crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite in concentration ranging as hi gh as about 80 percent, based on the total weight of the catalyst, within a mesoporous silica-alumina matrix. The matrix preferably, is constituted of silica sols modified by alumina and clay and it is characterized as of polymodal pore size distribution as, measured by mercury porosimetry, a first mode wherein at least 75 percent, preferably about 80 …

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 9, 1992 and granted January 25, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended December 9, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 9, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
