Abstract From the Canadian patent

In order to increase the capacity of an electric load by relatively accurately detecting an operating current flowing in the electric load without a delay and setting a preset value, at which the supply of power to the load is cut, to be close to an permissible current value, this invention includes a current transformer for detecting a current flowing in the load an A/D, converting section for converting an output voltage from the secondary side of the current transformer into digital data, and a calculating section for obtaining the average value of the digital data, whereby a current value corresponding to the average value is output as a current flowing in the load. - 29 -

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 3, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 3, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 3, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
