Abstract From the Canadian patent

High capacity solid state cyanocobaltate complexes represented by the chemical formula:, Li3Co(CN)5-1.42 DMF-0.48 DMAC where DMF is N,N-dimethylformamide and DMAC is N,N-dimethylacetamide, are capable of chemically binding oxygen to form novel oxygen adducts thereby selectively removing oxygen from an oxygen-containing fluid stream. The bound oxygen may be recovered from the complexes by increasing the temperature or by reducing the partial pressure of O2 above the adduct.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 18, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 18, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 18, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
