The present invention relates to an aqueous coating composition containing, a) an aqueous solution ar dispersion of a polyol component containing at least one water-dilutable polyacrylate resin having hydroxyl groups and a molecular weight (Mn) above 500, b) a polyisocyanate component which has a viscosity of 50 to 10,000 mPa.s at 23°C and is emulsified in component a) and, c) 0.5 to 6% by weight, based on the weight of component a) of a water-soluble polyether polyol having a molecular weight of 300 to 1000, wherein the coating composition has an NC0/OH equivalent ratio of 0.5:1 to 5:1, based on the isocyanate groups of component b) and the alcoholic hydroxyl groups of components a) and c).

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 12, 1992 and granted February 25, 2003. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended November 12, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 12, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
