A fluidized bed particulate material treating apparatus is provided having a fluidizing bedplate formed with apertures of frusto-conical configuration. The apertures are formed with walls divergent from an exit end at an angle in the range of 25-45 degrees with a plurality of apertures formed in the bedplate in closely spaced relationship resulting in interaction of the airflow from the apertures to levitate the material as it is transported over the bed by the air flowing through the apertures.

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 3, 1992 and granted January 11, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended November 3, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 3, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
