Abstract From the Canadian patent

The present invention is directed to a apparatus for forming concrete pathways. The apparatus comprises a mold incorporating a plurality of openings for receiving concrete therein. The mold openings define separate and distinct concrete cavities. Concrete pathways are formed by placing the mold of the invention on a surface for receiving the concrete in the concrete cavities. Upon removal of the mold, the concrete segments retain the shape of the mold cavities and are slightly separated from each other. The procedure is repeated to form a pathway of a desired length and configuration.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 29, 1992 and granted February 4, 1997. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 29, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 29, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
