Abstract From the Canadian patent

The coupling of lances used for supplying media by pressing them against a coupling head is effected by means of draw rods which are operated with the aid of lifting spindle movement transmitting screw thread systems. Each draw rod (16, 16') has associated with it its own reduction gear unit (42, 42') which has an integrated lifting spindle system and on which a load cell (34, 34') is mounted. The primary shafts in, alignment with one another, of the two gear units (42 42') are connected together by means of a coupling (56) compensating for axial, radial and angular displacements.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 9, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 9, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 9, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
