Abstract From the Canadian patent

A sinterable mixture comprising iron-containing materials and solid fuel is sintered on a sintering machine. To decrease the rate at which exhaust gas is to be removed and nevertheless to produce a good sinter, a part of the exhaust gas is enriched to an oxygen content of up to 24% by an addition of higher oxygen gases and is then recirculated as a recycle gas and exhaust gas is removed as a tail gas from the process only at a rate which corresponds to the rate of the gas which is formed during the sintering process plus the rate of the gas added for enriching plus the rate of inleaked air which has infiltrated from the outside minus the rate of oxygen consumotion.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 2, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 2, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 2, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
