The invention relates to a variable ratio drive mechanism which operates to adjust the path of an endless drive belt (34) in response to a remotely located control input. Circumferentially spaced sheave segments (32) include multiple camming surfaces (76) opposed engagement blocks (52, 54) and tooth-like formations (46). The engagement blocks (52 54) are slidably spring-biased (60) with the tooth-like formations (46) to detent the sheave segment (32) against radial movement. Why it's free to use
- Filed January 23, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended January 23, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 23, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
