A missile guidance antenna that is conformal to the missile surface, dual-polarized and broadband. Slotline notch array elements (30, 52) are inclined toward boresight for both the E and H-planes. This inclination directs a greater portion of the energy toward the front of the missile. The additional energy directed forward reduces the ifying effects of the metallic skin on the tangential E-field and enhances the performance of the other polarization. The slotline elements (30 52) can be packed, with spacing close enough to allow for electronic beam steering without creating grating lobes in the field at the highest frequency of operation.

Why it's free to use
- Filed August 26, 1992 and granted April 22, 1997. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended August 26, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 26, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
