Abstract From the Canadian patent

57) Abstract, A device for truing planks and other elongated timber products has two sets of plates (4, 5) consisting of guide plates (6) forming a plank guide channel (8) between them. The guide channel (8) has a twist about the longitudinal axis (9) of the frame. This twist can be altered by pivoting the guide plates (6) of each set of plates (4 or 5) in sections. It is thus possible to give the plank guide channel (8) a different twist.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 19, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 19, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 19, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
