Abstract From the Canadian patent

MODIFIED ZEOLITE OMEGA AND METHODS, FOR PREPARING AND FOR USING SAME" ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE, A high surface area and high silica to alumina ratio form of zeolite Omega is synthesized by hydrothermal crystallization from reaction systems containing one or more alkali metal cations and one or more organic templating agents, modified by calcination at a temperature sufficient to decompose the organic templating agents ion-exchange, steam calcination and treatment with a low-pH aqueous ammonium ion solution. The resulting modified zeolite Omega is significantly improved with respect to catalytic activity and adsorption capacities for large molecular species.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed August 14, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended August 14, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 14, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
