Subtractive CDMA demodulation optimally decodes a coded information signal embedded in many other overlapping signals making up a received, composite signal. A radio receiver correlates a unique code corresponding to the desired signal to be decoded with the composite signal. As a result subsequent correlations are performed with greater accuracy. Subtractive CDMA demodulation is enhance by decoding the composite signal in the order of the strongest to weakest signal strength. Interference caused by the presence of the strongest information signal and the composite signal during the decoding of weaker signals is removed. The individual information signals are assigned a unique block error …

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 17, 1991 and granted August 7, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended December 17, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 17, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
