A vapor degreaser characterized by a deep freeboard zone (32) (i.e. freeboard to width ratio of 1.0 to 2.3) containing a three-stage condenser/heat exchanger configuration comprising: a water-cooled lower primary exchanger (18) operating above 32 ·F to effect condensation of the bulk of the vapor generated by the boiling sump (14) and a combination of an intermediate exchanger (52) above, but preferably overlapping, the primary exchanger (18) and a dehumidifying third exchanger (54) position just below the top lip of the degreaser, both operating at a temperature below 32 ·F (preferably +10 to -30 ·F) to effect a reduction in the vapor concentration gradient that controls the rate of vapor …

Why it's free to use
- Filed January 16, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended January 16, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 16, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
