A vacuum press for use in gluing posters photographs and, like materials to flat boards is disclosed. The vacuum press, comprises a flat top plate and a flat bottom plate held in spaced apart relationship by a compressible seal. The compressible seal is dimensioned so as to provide a chamber within the plates. This chamber is adapted to hold a board which has at least one, flat surface, and an outlet for the chamber is adapted for connection to a means for drawing a vacuum in the chamber.
