A mechanical transmission (10) in particular for toy automobiles comprises a substantially cylindrical element (19) rotating axially in kinematic connection with the motion output (22) of the transmission. On said cylindrical element (19) are fitted in a rotating manner toothed gears (17, 18) each of which is in kinematic connection at a different ratio with the motion input of the transmission. Inside the cylindrical element (19) is axially sliding between the gears (17, 18) by control means (26) a cursor (24) for selective sequential radial engagement between the cylindrical element (19) and the gears (17, 18) so as to realize motion transmission with a different ratio between input and …

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 22, 1992 and granted September 19, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 22, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 22, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
