An erected vertical teeth portion of the main body of the adhesive tape cutter has a keeping portion which is formed in the material of the main body in a direction of horizon. There is a gap between the erected vertical teeth portion and the keeping portion bent transversely in parallel with the teeth portion. A free end of the tape is inserted through the gap and the free end is kept there, so it is easy to pinch the free end.

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 20, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 20, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 20, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
