Abstract of the Disclosure A sleeve style closed end carton for a can matrix where the cans preferably are the type having necked in head and heel rims. The carton includes corner flaps that are wrapped around the corner cans of the matrix, the corner flaps, along with the top and bottom side wall corners, preferably being structured to make the tapered portion of each corner can's head and heel partially visible when the carton is viewed in top and bottom views, as well as side elevation view, thereby in effect eliminating the carton's corners.

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 13, 1992 and granted May 4, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 13, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 13, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
