Coating with high-melting metals can be simplified by alloying high-melting metal with sufficient aluminum to make low-melting alloy that is applied bonded in place, and then subjected to the leaching out of some or most of the aluminum. The resulting surface is porous and will receive and hold tap coatings, as from spraying nozzles (12). Leached surface can be pyrophoric and top coating, can be exothermically combustible. Why it's free to use
- Filed September 13, 1990 and granted December 5, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended September 13, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 13, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
