An insulating panel (15) is disclosed having an outer continuous, membrane (22) supported by an internal rigid frame (33). The continuous membrane (22) encloses a vacuum space and is made up of , top (23) and bottom (26) membrane sections each having a plurality of biaxially curved, concave surfaces (30) which are loaded in tension when exposed to ambient atmospheric pressure. Between each biaxially curved, concave surface (30) is an arcuate path (99) which enables differential tension loadings on the adjacent biaxially curved, concave surfaces (30) to be offset. Why it's free to use
- Filed November 15, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 15, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 15, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
