Methods for expression and demonstration of the immunogenicity of recombinant P1 and portions thereof are disclosed, along with an improved method for the purification of P1. The nucleotide sequence of the P1 gene and the derived amino acid sequence of the P1 protein of Haemonhilus influenzae type b are disclosed and the methods used to determine the same. Also disclosed are the methods used to clone and express the P1 gene as wall as the purification protocol for the P1 gene products (recombinant P1 and P1 fusion proteins). Why it's free to use
- Filed October 31, 1990 and granted September 28, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 31, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 31, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
