Abstract From the Canadian patent

Disclosed are monoclonal antibodies having specific affinity to an anti-tumor protein TCF-II, derived from human fibroblasts. The monoclonal antibodies have a molecular weight of approximately 150,000 and belong to a subclass of IgG1 with N-terminal, amino acid sequence of the L chain identified. The monoclonal antibodies can be used for the purification of TCF-II and for the diagnosis of liver disease by measuring the content of TCF-II in the plasma by the aid of the monoclonal antibodies. 34

Why it's free to use

  • Filed June 18, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 18, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 18, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
