Abstract of the Disclosure, A cardiac pacing apparatus and method. A cardiac pacing apparatus (24) provides a cardiac pacing signal to a plurality of electrode pairs (20 22), each, comprising a positive electrode (20a 22a) and a negative electrode (20b, 22b). A plurality of isolated current sources (30 32) supply the electrode pairs with, separate electric pacing currents each small enough in magnitude so as to avoidpatient discomfort or burning. The plurality of pacing currents delivered to theelectrode pairs add to produce a total cardiac pacing current of sufficient magnitude to cause contraction of a heart muscle through which the pacing currents flow. Why it's free to use
- Filed June 10, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 10, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 10, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
