Abstract From the Canadian patent

Process for the preparation of polymers in which process linear alternating polymers of carbon monoxide with one or more olefinically unsaturated compounds are prepared by contacting the monomers at an elevated temperature and pressure with a catalyst in a diluent in which diluent the catalyst is dissolved and the formed polymers form a suspension, which contacting takes place in a system comprising at least one reactor and at least one mechanical contact zone wherein the volume of the suspension present in the mechanical contact zone(s) is substantially less than the volume of the suspension present in the reactor(s) the suspension is passed, through the mechanical contact zone(s) and high …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed May 27, 1992 and granted January 7, 2003. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended May 27, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 27, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
