An automatic bleed valve bleeds gas from a liquid reservoir. It comprises a housing having a passage extending between an inlet and an outlet with the passage including a bore in which a piston is slidably received. The piston includes a capillary providing fluid communication between the inlet and a chamber formed in the passage adjacent the outlet. The piston is biased into an upstream position in which gas entering the inlet passes through the capillary to the chamber and thence to the outlet. Why it's free to use
- Filed May 22, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 22, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 22, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
