Abstract, An imaging medium comprises a color-forming layer comprising a color-forming composition adapted to undergo a change of color upon exposure to actinic radiation, the color-forming composition being dispersed in a first polymer having a glass transition temperature of at least about 50°C; and at least one diffusion-reducing layer in contact with one face of the color-forming layer, the or each diffusion-reducing layer comprising a second polymer, having a glass transition temperature of at least about 50°C and being, essentially free from the color-forming composition. Post-imaging diffusion of the colored materials formed during imaging is reduced by the use of the high glass …

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 5, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 5, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 5, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
