Abstract From the Canadian patent

A pseudo-synchronous fast transfer handshake protocol compatible for use on a VME backplane bus (22) having a master functional module (300) and a slave functional module (200) logically interconnected by a data transfer bus. The data transfer bus (22) includes a data strobe signal line (D50 D51) and a data transfer, acknowledge signal line (DTACK). To accomplish the handshake the, master (300) transmits a data strobe signal of a given duration on the data strobe line. Why it's free to use

  • Filed August 20, 1990. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended August 20, 2010.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 20, 2012.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
