Abstract From the Canadian patent

An FM modulator circuit is provided having separate modulation and channel signal paths. The modulation path includes a numerically controlled modulated oscillator which receives a modulation signal and provides a modulated intermediate frequency signal which has been frequency modulated in accordance with the modulation signal. channel select number is provided representative of a channel of a desired frequency. A channel signal path is provided including local oscillator means for receiving the channel select signal and providing a channel signal of the desired frequency. The modulated intermediate frequency is then combined with the channel signal to provide the desired FM output signal.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 10, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 10, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 10, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
