The resonator frequency of a ceramic filter comprising several resonators can be adjusted so that above the top surface (3) of the block (1) there is placed above each hole (61 - 67) requiring adjustment a metallic cover (10) with parts (71 - 77) to be bent, whereby bending a part changes the frequency of the resonator located at that part. The coupling between the resonators will be affected by another part (e.g. 111) to be bent, located in the cover (103 above an area between two holes (e.g. 61 and 62). A part to be bent (121 - 126) affecting the coupling can also be located adjacent the side surface of the block (1) opposite an area between the resonators.

Why it's free to use
- Filed April 9, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 9, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 9, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
