Abstract From the Canadian patent

The present invention discloses a polyolefin resin composition comprising a specific cycloolefinbased polymer (a), a graft-modified elastomer (b) and a compound (c) having one amino group in the molecule and containing, based on the total amount of the components (a), (b) and (c), 50 to 95 % by weight of the component (a), 1 to 50 % by weight of the component (b) and 0.01 to 45 % by weight of the component (c). This polyolefin resin composition is improved particularly in mechanical properties such as impact strength, etc. while retaining excellent properties of the cycloolefin-based polymer (a).

Why it's free to use

  • Filed June 5, 1991 and granted March 19, 2002. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended June 5, 2011.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 5, 2013.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
