A metal frame essentially composed of identically shaped sections. A metal section is obtained by folding a strip-shaped metal sheet in such a way as to define a first portion (14) having a substantially square or rectangular cross-section and a second portion (16) having an L-shaped cross-section with a gap being formed between one edge (18) of the metal sheet and a fold (19) marking the junction point between said first and second portions. A slit (20) is formed to allow panel-mounting devices to be inserted if desired. Said frame can be used to produce metal cabinets for industrial electrical or electronic equipment.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 15, 1991. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 15, 2011.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 15, 2013.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
