Abstract From the Canadian patent

Siloxanyl-phosphate mixtures are prepared by reacting cyclopolydimethylsiloxane and a silylphosphate mixture. The siloxanyl-phosphate mixture is a mixture of 5 to 30 weight percent of a monosiloxanyl-phosphate of the formula, (see formula I), 70 to 85 weight percent of a disiloxanyl-phosphate of the formula, (see formula II), 2 to 11 weight percent of a trisiloxanyl-phosphate of the formula, (see formula III), wherein x has an average value of from 3 to 30. These siloxanyl-phosphate mixtures are useful in stabilizing basic polymerization catalysts such aspotassium hydroxide or potassium silanolate and can either be used effectively per se or in combination with carbon dioxide.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 12, 1992 and granted December 25, 2001. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 12, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 12, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
