Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the Disclosure, An electrostatic repulsion device is provided in an electrostatic spray paint booth having a grounded ceiling and conveyor to improve transfer efficiency in applying the paint to a workpiece and maintain a safe working environment without requiring protective fencing between an operator and the application equipment. The device includes a length of electrical cable having a central resistive conductor and an insulation layer. The cable is designed to produce low electrical capacitance in operation when connected to a high voltage source. Conductive pins are mounted along the cable through the insulation to contact the conductor. The conductive pins are arranged …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 5, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 5, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 5, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
