A manual device for generating local under or overpressure has a casing to which an adapter is fitted, a pump which is connected to the adapter via a line, a motor by which the pump can be driven and a power supply unit which powers the motor. To make such a manual device easier to handle and move it is proposed that the, pump and the motor be arranged inside its casing.
