Abstract From the Canadian patent

Novel 3-aminosydnone imines of the general formula (I), and the pharmacologically acceptable acid addition salts thereof in which R1 is a C1-C6 alkyl, R2 is hydrogen or the radical -COR3, in which R3 is, for example, a C1-C4-alkyl. The compounds of formula I and their acid addition salts have valuable pharmacological properties. They have a particularly pronounced action on the cardiovascular system and, compared with known similar compounds, have a considerably longer duration of action. They are useful for controlling and preventing cardiovascular diseases.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed January 24, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended January 24, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 24, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
